Tietoa pelistä One duck too many
One throw. A tub full of ducks.
One Duck Too Many is a physics-driven incremental game. You throw a rubber duck into a bathtub. Where it lands, the splash turns into droplets, every droplet hatches into a new duck, and every duck that lands splashes again. One throw can become hundreds of ducks, and a good day fills the whole bathroom with tens of thousands. The chain always runs out of energy on its own, so every throw is a small bet on where it lands and how hard.
How a day works
Each day is a short run of a few minutes. You start with a small hand of ducks to throw and a limited number of slaps. Aim, hold to charge, release. When the pile settles, slap it: hundreds of ducks fly up, land, splash again, and the chain restarts. Every duck born today counts toward the day's goal; fill the tub in one day and it grows to the next size. At the end of the day the tally rolls up. Chain depth, overflow, objects hit and a full tub all add bonuses, and everything you earn is yours to keep.
Six ducks that do different things
- Split Duck forks into two at the water.
- Spring Duck absorbs the landing and bounces back up for another splash.
- Boom Duck sits on the pile, then bursts and launches everything around it.
- Heavy Duck lands hard and sends a shock wave through the pile.
- Fan Duck blows the pile toward the walls for more rebounds.
- The plain Duck is cheap and reliable, and spawns from every splash.
Equip several types at once, up to five loadout slots; the ducks born from your splashes take after the types you brought. Each type has four mastery levels earned by using it, and the top level changes how that duck behaves.
Four tubs, one bathroom
Small Tub, Big Tub, Pool, then the whole Bathroom. Each has a higher daily goal, more room, and objects that change your chains: a bounce board at the far end, rocks that give free landings, bubbles that pop into droplets, a bomb that launches the pile. Daily tub conditions such as warm water, storms and low tide change the plan for that day, and ducks that spill over the rim flood the floor.
Permanent progression
Ducks are the only currency, and nothing is on a timer. Spend them on a skill tree of 39 nodes across three lines (Spawn, Impact, Combo), including 15 advanced nodes, recruit new duck types, and unlock six slap styles: a straight shock, a tidal push, a whirl, bubbles, a double tap and a heavy slam. A 30-step unlock track paces new systems as you play.
Relics are permanent rules that stay with you for good and level up to Lv3: the second starting duck's first splash makes extra droplets, every fifth day the first slap is wider, at 40 ducks born you get a slap back, ducks born past the goal charge tomorrow's opening splash. More than 40 relics build into a chain that pays off on the days you plan for. From the Big Tub on, a shop lets you buy the relic you want, level up one you own, or furnish the tub with permanent objects instead of waiting for a lucky draw.
Prize ducks and daily objectives
Throws, contacts and slaps fill a luck meter that calls in prize ducks: a golden duck for cash, a prism that transforms a duck, a balloon that grows with every wave and bursts when you hit it, a supply duck for an extra throw, twins, a magnet, a rescue that brings ducks back from the floor, and a springboard. Each day also offers a small objective, such as banking a duck off the wall or chaining through two types, that pays out and grants a relic pick.
Modes and playtime
A day takes two to five minutes. Filling your first Bathroom takes a few hours across many days. After that you can Move House: keep your ducks, mastery, relics and unlocks, restart the tub with a new house rule and a permanent income bonus, and do it again. Daily Challenge gives everyone the same tub, upgrades and conditions for the calendar day and keeps your best score. Build Challenges are three fixed Pool setups that test a specific build. 24 Steam achievements.
Loud, bouncy, pixel
A 3D bathroom drawn at chunky pixel scale, numbers that pop, confetti when you hit a milestone, chiptune loops that get more intense as the chain heats up, and 8-bit sound effects for every splash and slap. There is a juice dial in the settings if it is too much, and every tooltip shows the actual numbers. Keyboard and mouse or gamepad, with full controller support. English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
