Inertial is a 2D top-down physics based space racing game that is fun without completely ignoring the laws of physics. You will race to set the fastest times you can in various courses while managing the challenges of piloting a racing craft in open space. Manage competing engine heat, challenging momentum and gravitational fields to set blazing fast times, using orbital mechanics to your advantage. Avoid crashing into planets and stars while navigating gas and dust clouds that interfere with your navigation and impact your ability to pilot your ship. Unlike many other games where you pilot a space ship, there is no drag in open space, no top speed and real gravitational effects. Just you, your ship and realistic (enough) physics. Real Gravity Use the gravity from nearby bodies to your advantage. Slingshot around stars and planets to prove that the fastest route is not always a straight line. Manage Inertia Manage your inertia, both in a straight line or in a spin, don't let it get away from you. Avoid Obstacles Avoid dust, gas and plasma clouds that heat, cool, slow or disable your ship.
