Every card you play shapes the story of your partner and your shop. Beyond Opening Day is a character-driven management game where you use cards to rebuild a struggling small shop. Run Your Shop with Cards Each turn, choose cards from your hand and combine actions such as sales, advertising, production, research, and rest to grow your business. Manage limited resources including money, reputation, popularity, and inventory, and decide where to invest them. More powerful cards can produce greater results, but they also come with heavier costs. Push for immediate gains or prepare for the turns ahead—the decisions you make across 30 turns will determine how your business develops. Your Partner Reacts to Your Decisions You are not rebuilding the shop alone. Your partner reacts with expressions and dialogue to the cards you play, combos you trigger, important events, and the current state of the business. Management and character interaction are part of the same gameplay loop. The choices you make while running the shop also shape your relationship and the story around it. Aim for a Better Result in 30 Turns Each run lasts 30 turns. Your first goal is to rebuild the shop and meet the victory conditions. Beyond that, you can continue pushing for a higher evaluation and a better ending. After each run, review your deck and use what you have gained to prepare for the next attempt. Try different cards, different strategies, and different combinations to achieve a better result than before.
