Aquavern is an underwater survival game with the twist of a deadly live game show that is being broadcast on the dark web. You've been kidnapped and forced to compete in it. You wake up above a vast underwater cave system, and in order to earn your freedom, you must survive not only the cave's diverse biomes filled with deadly creatures, but also the game show's own rules. Recover loot from within the depths to sell and buy new equipment and upgrades that will help you dive deeper in order to retrieve a special artifact that will set you free. Creatures of the Deep In the mysterious cave system of Aquavern, you're swimming through a large living ecosystem, and creature encounters are more than frequent. These creatures come in every size, from leviathan-sized monsters to tiny fish, and not all of them are dangerous, as some even offer unique mechanics that can help you survive the depths. Most creatures are inspired by real marine life, but you will also encounter creatures pulled from mythology, prehistoric seas, and more. Survive the Depths Every dive is a risk-reward gamble, built around a few core mechanics: - Recover Loot - Scavenge for valuable items scattered throughout the cave system. - Manage Your Resources - Limited resources like inventory space, health, and oxygen are all critical, and must be managed carefully to survive. - Buy & Upgrade - Cash in your loot for new gear and upgrades that will help you dive deeper. - Dangerous Environments - Survive deadly creature encounters and hazards within the cave. - Live Game Show - Wild card events, triggered by the game masters and the audience, can be helpful, weird, or deadly. - Push Deeper - The deeper you go, the greater the reward — and the greater the risk. Biome Variety The cave system is divided into large, themed biomes, each hiding its own unique loot and creatures. The deeper you venture, the more hostile these biomes become.
