LUCID.SYS is a single-player, turn-based tactical roguelike where bizarre characters, devastating ability combinations, and unstable rules turn every battle into a tactical puzzle. Assemble your squad, fight through surreal dream sectors, and defeat the threats standing between you and waking up. Power is everywhere. The challenge is making yours work together. Command more than 20 strange units whose abilities change how you approach the battlefield. Turn long-distance fireballs into spreading explosions and burning trails. Have a sleepy magical scout sacrifice its actions to give teammates extra opportunities to act. Combine attacks, passives, class skills, and unusual character gimmicks to set up turns that can tear an enemy formation apart. Your opponents bring dangerous tricks of their own. Position carefully, protect the allies your strategy depends on, and find the opening that lets your entire team go to work. - Build your dream squad. Choose your starting team and recruit new allies as you advance. Every addition brings new combinations to explore—and new decisions about how your squad should fight. - Make absurd power work for you. Chain abilities, exploit status effects, control territory, and turn one character’s setup into another’s devastating payoff. Experiment with teams built around overwhelming damage, stubborn survival, battlefield control, or stranger ideas. - Change the rules of combat. Rule Changes affect the battlefield itself. Force everyone into an attacks-only showdown, double on-hit effects, or turn positioning into a dangerous game of musical chairs. Time them carefully: your enemies can benefit from the new rules, too. - Shape your strategy throughout the run. Recruit allies and choose upgrades between sectors, adapting your plans around the opportunities you receive and the threats ahead. - Fight through a surreal cartoon dream. Lead an eccentric cast through encounters with unusual enemies, minibosses, and bosses. Beneath the playful presentation is a combat system that rewards careful sequencing, clever positioning, and learning how its many abilities interact.
