Craft a party of RPG heroes and send them adventuring for levels and loot. Play actively to speed their progress, or leave them to grind on their own. Battle through a multitude of biomes, facing diverse groups of enemies. Gain abilities, gear, and party bonuses, then reset your progress to unlock powerful new mechanics and meta bonuses! Inspired by early idlers like Progress Quest and Cookie Clicker, Idle Misadventures scratches that itch for players who not only want to watch the numbers go up, but also make meaningful choices about their heroes' progression. Every hero class plays differently, lending their own strengths and synergies to the party. Analyze their performance in the field to determine the best setup for their next adventure. Strategy will vary: a party that steamrolls one zone might struggle in the next, until you step in. Pick from dozens of hero classes, each with their own combination of gear and abilities. Go pure offense with the Pyromancer, or focus on life-drain healing with the Bloodpriest; even the crowd control abilities of the simple Warrior are a powerful tool in your arsenal. Every class plays differently, allowing experimentation to find your ideal playstyle. Wins and losses happen in the loadout screen, not mid-fight. Outfit each hero with the right gear and abilities, and configure their tactics to control how they behave in combat. Monster abilities evolve as you push further, encouraging you to test new strategies as you progress. Combat plays out in a fast paced classic turn-based RPG style. Once you unleash your heroes, adventuring will run in a continuous loop: fighting, looting, selling, healing, and returning to the killing fields for more. Play it actively to speed up your heroes and optimize their performance, or let it run in the background to collect levels and wealth when you've got other things to do. Heroes level up and unlock new abilities with each run, but require your judgement to guide their progress. While visiting town, gold and prestige currencies can be spent in a variety of ways: - Level up abilities for more damage and stronger effects - Equip loot you've earned on the battlefield, selling unwanted pieces at the store for extra cash - ARPG-style equipment with tiered rarities and different stat combinations make every piece worth a look - Invest in Tactics to sharpen your heroes' responses mid-combat - Purchase party-wide bonuses for combat efficiency and general quality-of-life When your heroes are no longer able to progress, retire them to make way for a new generation. Keep their gains in the form of powerful meta currencies; each prestige tier opens new mechanics and hero classes. Go faster and further with each prestige, enabling new strategies and approaches to enemies that were once difficult. Unlock new and deadly areas, taking you back to the drawing board to strategize your next move. Set up your party, point it at something dangerous, and see how far it gets.
