Going Your Own Way is a visual novel that allows you to make choices that will help a young man trying to understand his place in the world while dealing with the recent ending of a long-term relationship, the challenges of modern dating, and a toxic workplace. This isn't a fantasy. You aren't wealthy or famous. You aren't an expert with the ladies or extraordinarily buff. You are fairly average and were leading a pretty average life until you took your fiancée to a tropical island only to return alone. Now you are picking up the pieces and trying to move on as best you can. You work an increasingly frustrating corporate desk job. You rent an apartment you can no longer afford by yourself. Sometimes you are lonely; sometimes you can't stand people. In this story, you will visit not-so-exotic places such as your office, the gym, local bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. What path do you want to take? Want to stay in shape? Maybe visit the gym. Want to meet someone? Perhaps check out the bar scene. Maybe after a long day at work, you just want to head home, play video games, and be alone. You will meet and interact with people – some good and some... less so.
