Shellshocked, half-pickled and haunted by 20 years on the Catsburg PD. But when a brutal murder leads him into the underbelly of a designer-drug-fueled crimewave, he’s forced to chase down a gang of savage critters tearing through the city. The game is a pixelated love letter to ‘80s pulp horror, film noir and retro arcade games. Throw in punk-rock bikers, neo-noir vigilante street gangs, a corrupt police force and a sinister pathogen that may or may not have leaked from a mysterious lab and you have Rise of the Gorecats. Rise of the Gorecats will expand into a complete story-driven experience where you play as Detective Mitch Birman, a grizzled investigator on the trail of a mysterious breed of bloodthirsty critters invading downtown Catsburg.
