You are one of the Scarred, venturing into a world that no longer belongs to humanity. READ THE ATTACK. FIND THE OPENING. Read directional attack tells, meet a strike with the right parry, then cut into an opening. Enemy armour and weapon guards protect different sides; timing alone is not enough. Watch for feints, evade empowered attacks and choose when to commit. Your sword, a Veil-powered hand cannon and equipped skills give you different ways to survive an encounter. GO OUT WITH A PLAN. COME BACK WITH MORE. Deploy from the Nave, explore hostile territory, complete objectives and gather cargo. Push farther for another find or head for extraction while you can. What you manage to bring home feeds your next preparation. Explore the industrial Pale Foundry, the frozen surface of the Thawless Expanse and the unsettling interiors of a Lethean corvette. BUILD THE SCARRED Equip Veil Orbs through your Scars and choose their upgrade branches. Fit Fragments into your blade, armour and signet to change their effects. Combine skills, elemental affinities, equipment upgrades and consumables around the way you fight. The Scarwright, Veilsmyth and other specialists turn recovered resources into new possibilities.
