Welcome to Forestress Shade! Forestress Shade is a strategy puzzle game inspired by "Slay the Spire," combining elements of roguelikes and chess. However, you don't need to know the rules of chess in detail. Anyone can play casually. Conquer the Deadshade Forest. The "Deadshade Forest," which devours light and returns everything to shadow. In the eternal darkness, ferocious animals lurk, welcoming those who venture in with insatiable hunger. Those who bear the curse of Deadshade and are eternally imprisoned in the forest, harboring shadow within them, are destined to hunt. The player takes on the role of a "Hunter," commanding animals to fight against enemy creatures. During the player's turn, stamina can be used to perform various actions such as moving, attacking, and summoning animals. Predict the enemy's movements based on their planned actions and devise the optimal course of action. The forest's structure changes with each challenge. Whether you are tossed about by the unpredictable chaos or cling on depends on the Hunter's strategy. Utilize animal characteristics. Every animal possesses unique characteristics. By combining these in your strategy, you can further enhance the strength of your animals. Combining animal characteristics may even further strengthen your animals… Unique Hunters Choose one of four hunters and venture into the heart of the forest. Each hunter has their own unique playstyle. ・Want to charge straight in with high stats? ・Want to attack stealthily using traps? ・Want to move freely like a chess queen? ・Overwhelm them with sheer numbers? Of course, choosing based on appearance or intuition is also perfectly fine. Aim for the top in "Midnight." After clearing the main game, the high-difficulty mode "Midnight" will be unlocked. Add unfavorable conditions and test your limits. See how far you can clear—this is your chance to show off your skills.
