This game was developed as a student project through a project-based course offered by the Department of Game Software at Hoseo University.
[About This Game]
- Escape from a Derelict Space Ward
Caught in a conspiracy, Victor is taken to a derelict medical facility in space. Following a gravity augmentation procedure, he was meant to be conditioned into a human weapon. But when an experimental black hole becomes unstable, monsters overrun the facility, throwing the secret laboratory into chaos. Awakening amid the disaster with the power to manipulate gravity, Victor must escape a bizarre facility where floors and walls seamlessly connect.
- When the Floor Ends, the Path Continues
Vector Quake is a single-player 3D spatial puzzle-action game where floors and walls form one continuous path. Push and flip crates to create new routes, activate mechanisms, and avoid or defeat enemies as you make your way toward the exit.
- Study the Entire Space to Find Your Way
Each stage places crates, mechanisms, enemies, and the exit across different surfaces and orientations. Survey the floors and walls, plan your route, then move crates onto switches to activate mechanisms and open blocked paths. Whether you follow the newly opened route or deal with enemies first can completely change how you approach the puzzle.
- Crates Are Both Tools and Weapons
Crates are more than obstacles blocking your path.
They can serve as keys to activate switches, platforms that bridge otherwise unreachable areas, and even weapons capable of taking down enemies.
Decide where to push and flip each crate to reshape the situation in your favor.
- Walls Are Part of the Play Space
The grid does not end at the floor.
Crates can move across the boundary between floors and walls, while mechanisms and enemies positioned on different surfaces interact within the same space.
Do not focus on only the surface in front of you. Treat the entire room as a single puzzle board.
- One Move Can Change the Entire Space
Moving, pushing, and flipping are simple actions, but a single decision can alter both your route and the battles ahead.
Consider where each crate can move, what conditions activate each mechanism, and where enemies are positioned as you search for the solution to every stage.
