YOU'RE NOT THE SHIP Humanity has discovered vast fields of gold drifting through deep space. Every prospector wants a piece of it. You're not safely behind the controls of a spaceship. You're a fragile astronaut with a jetpack and laser, floating beside your own cargo hauler. Step into the vacuum. Mine gold. Make it home alive. MINE IT. HAUL IT. PROTECT IT. Every expedition sends you into an asteroid field packed with gold. Fly out. Grab a nugget. Haul it back to your ship. You can carry only one at a time, so doing everything yourself won't get you far. Deploy autonomous Robot Miners to work the field while you protect the operation. Add Robot Guns and other equipment as the frontier becomes more dangerous. Meteor storms, alien swarms and pirate crews will force you to decide what's more important: mine, defend, or run. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DIE TO LOSE On contested claims, killing the enemy isn't the objective. The gold is. Every planet contains a finite amount of gold. If a rival crew fills its hold before you, the claim is theirs. You can win every firefight and still lose the planet. Mine fast. Protect your operation. Get the gold aboard before they do. SPEND YOUR FORTUNE Between expeditions, your gold buys equipment—and there is never enough for everything you want. Invest in mining robots, automated guns, shields, magnetic technology, heavy weapons and larger ships. Every purchase is a trade-off. Robot slots are limited. More miners mean faster extraction; more guns mean better protection. Build for the next claim, not the last one. THE FRONTIER GETS DEADLIER Each new frontier introduces a new threat, and the technology you'll eventually need to overcome it. First come the meteor storms. Then aliens. Then pirates. Eventually, everything comes together. You meet the frontier's technologies as weapons pointed at you before you can own them. Start as one fragile prospector hauling gold by hand.
