Об игре The Lords Next Door
Your fighting days are behind you
You were a captain in the long war. Now you have the deed to a stony patch of frontier, a bad knee, and an old quartermaster named Wendel who will not let you rest. Build a town. Gather heroes. Get to know the neighbours. The war is over. Mostly.Build a town worth the name
- Place gold mines, lumber mills, quarries, mana springs, a tavern, training grounds and a blacksmith wherever you like on your land.
- Grow your Town Hall into a keep, a castle and one day a crown citadel, and buy new land as the town spreads.
- A storybook frontier of washing lines, sunflowers and flower boxes.
Heroes from every corner of the world
- 34 heroes from 18 peoples: humans, orcs, elves and dwarves, but also goblins, gnomes, undead, naga, minotaurs, centaurs, dryads, ogres, trolls, wolfkin, foxkin, bearkin, dragonkin and panda-folk.
- Hire visitors at the tavern, train them, forge and enchant their gear, and raise them to six stars.
- Fights are heroes against monsters, plus friendly drills against other lords' heroes: no troops to train or replace. Battles play out by themselves, right on the map outside your gates.
Into the wilds, and beyond the wall
- Clear goblin camps, wolf dens, spider nests, troll lairs and ogre strongholds in the woods around your town.
- Beyond the Greywall: a 40-stage campaign in four acts, with bosses, three-star ratings, elite stages and new heroes to win.
Love thy neighbour
- Your town shares the valley with nine others. Your neighbours are other players, and friendly computer lords keep any empty houses warm.
- Visit every day, swap gifts and local produce, and lend a hand when a neighbour is building.
- Send heroes to stand guard at a friend's gate. When raiders cross the border, the whole valley holds the line together.
- Neighbours never attack each other: trouble only comes from outside. Friendship grows over months, from stranger to hearth-kin.
A gentle kind of war
- Losing stings, but never ruins you: a bad raid costs some supplies and a few repairs, and your neighbours come to help.
- A story told in a prologue and five chapters, with letters from your neighbours along the way.
- Fairs and festivals all year: the Harvest Fair, the Night of Lanterns and monthly contests between neighbours.
- Made for a little time every day. Your town keeps working while you are away.
Free to play
The whole game can be played for free. Optional purchases offer gems, passes and decorations. The tavern's premium refresh is a paid random draw: its full odds and pity, like those of every random draw, are shown in the game.
