The Idle Captain

The Idle Captain is a pirate idle RPG that runs as a transparent overlay on your Windows desktop. Your captain fishes, fights, crafts and trades while you go about your day. Set sail from your home port and travel to new locations across the ocean. Each destination opens up new activities, tougher enemies, and better rewards. The more you sail, the faster you get there. The Idle Captain lives on your desktop without getting in the way. Drag it wherever you like, resize it to fit your setup, and let your captain get to work. Most of your early time is spent fishing. Start at the local pond and unlock better spots as your fishing level climbs. Occasionally a special bite pops up, a quick mini-game that gives you a shot at catching something you wouldn't normally find. When you're ready for a fight, take on various different enemies. Your attack, defense and vitality skills all grow through combat, making each fight more rewarding than the last. Back at port you can put your catches to good use. Cook up fresh fish, brew some wine, or craft goods at the workbench. Most crafted items sell for a lot more than the raw stuff, so it's worth taking the time to craft before you sell. The marketplace stocks a rotating selection of ingredients and goods. Buy low, craft smart, sell high. Stock changes regularly so there is always something worth picking up. Skills grow as you play, Fishing, Attack, Defense, Vitality, Crafting and Sailing. Higher levels unlock new areas, stronger enemies and better loot.
