Cicadia

Cicadia is a sci-fi FPS roguelike that sends you delving deep into the temples of the Cicadians. An advanced alien species that spread their wretched bug spawn to the corners of the galaxy, chirping their awful tune, signaling their vast motherships. In this shooter game, you will explore the procedurally generated labyrinth of ancient handcrafted rooms. As you do you will have to fight countless swarms of mutated alien insects, gathering their bile as you do. Bile can be spent at upgrade terminals to genetically engineer yourself in real time, building a set of skills perfect for the items you happen to stumble upon in your journey of rooms and floor ever increasing in difficulty. As you explore the tombs of this buried galactic empire, you will retrieve Lore tablets, and once you complete your library you may be able to learn what happened to this ancient race, and why those Cicada calls go unanswered today.
