Art and Artifice

Do you think way too hard about magic systems? Ever wanted to design your own magic items? Ever wondered what happens if you activate an immovable rod mid-fall? If so: welcome to Art and Artifice. This is a game about making and selling magical items, but not with the usual “mix X, Y, and Z to craft a wand” approach. Here, magic follows rules. If you aren’t already familiar with Ohm’s Law… you will be. Design magical circuits using crystals, conduits, runes, and components. Solve electrical-engineering-inspired puzzles to discover new recipes. Sell your creations, upgrade your workshop, and take on ever more complex requests. Manipulate voltage, elemental resistance, and mana flux to power runes, emit forces, create light, absorb energy, and build items worthy of an artificer.
