Goodnight Hotline is a CRT-styled analog horror visual novel, fully voiced in Chinese. November 2008, Haoyi TV. Every night at 23:00, the late-night show Goodnight Hotline goes on air: the host takes calls from listeners while the SMS wall scrolls with messages from thousands of homes. You are one of the viewers — curled on the couch, the TV your only light, your phone your only way in. Over five nights, the show grows stranger. Who the callers really are, what the host implies, what flickers across the SMS wall... every text you send and every choice you make pushes the story toward one of six distinct endings. - Retro CRT television aesthetic: scanlines, static noise, channel bugs — the texture of late-night TV in 2008 - Fully voiced in Chinese, three voice performances across all characters - Interface and subtitles in English and Simplified Chinese (voice acting in Chinese only) - Five nights, six endings — one evening to finish, one weekend to collect - Content notice: depicts online harassment with brief references to suicidal thoughts, in an anti-bullying narrative; horror atmosphere throughout.
