A Passing in the Night is a supernatural and psychological narrative-driven adventure game centered on a short night walk. A demon approaches Kai and gives him one hour to decide whether or not to give up his most precious memory in exchange for freedom from worldly pain. During this little time he is given, will Kai keep his memories and deal with the pain of waking life? Is it better to sacrifice what is precious to him and escape reality? Or will he continue to wander the streets, searching for answers in the dark where strange beings await him? Immerse yourself in a dreamlike experience featuring fully voiced dialogue and multiple endings. WALK ALONE IN A QUIET TOWN FOR ONE HOUR Look for subtle cues like where Kai is looking if you need something to go on, or wander slowly and proceed intuitively in a way that feels right to you. Observe your surroundings through different perspectives as you switch through modes that represent Kai’s various psychological states. Keep your eye on the clock, as dawn will come whether you’re ready or not. CONVERSE WITH OTHER NOCTURNAL WANDERERS You may encounter other people and spirits during your walk. Their motives are unclear, and some seem friendlier than others. Take care in your conversations with them, for you may never see them again. LIVE THROUGH ANOTHER DAY - OR ABANDON YOUR HOPE FOR A NORMAL LIFE Death is natural, hope is a choice, and fear will keep you safe.
