It all started in the dim twilight of a gritty underground bar. One last gulp of whiskey - and a strange coin gleamed at the bottom of your glass. You found it, and now there is no turning back. You have drawn the cursed dead man's coin, your debt is locked in, and the game has begun. To make it out alive, you must strap yourself into an electric chair opposite the Master - a terrifying automaton forged from three skulls and a steel manipulator arm. A psychological horror and a deadly one-on-one match against a ruthless opponent await you.
THE DEADLY ENGINE OF A TABLETOP CLASSIC
Roll Dice no Die warps the familiar childhood mechanic of moving around a square board into a tense survival thriller. Forget about boring economics, buying hotels, and paper money. This is a tabletop game / board game where your only currency is the indicator bulbs on your life-support panel.
Every wrong step, dice roll, or hazardous board tile turns off one of the lamps, surging a massive electric shock through your body. Losing your last bulb means instant, permanent death (permadeath).
MASTER YOUR FATE: DEAD MAN'S DECK & SYNERGIES
This isn’t just a game of pure luck. To outsmart the Master, you will need calculation, tactics, and strategic resource management. Right in the middle of the match, play special action cards from your dead man's deck to completely break and rewrite the rules.
Deceive your opponent, create devastating item synergies, modify dice values, force the robot to skip a turn, or deploy brutal bluffing mechanics to swap seats with him right before a lethal shock.
RISE ABOVE YOUR MISTAKES (META-PROGRESSION)
Every defeat is just a stepping stone to a new strategy, and every victory expands your arsenal. Returning to the bar counter, you progress in the spirit of the best roguelikes / rogue-lite:
- Unique Board Pawns: unlock custom game pieces that drastically alter your movement mechanics and how you interact with the board tiles.
- Deep Deckbuilding: unlock rare new cards and add them to your dead man's deck before your next run, crafting your own unique builds.
