Acerca de Fame & Fear: Dungeon Architect
Have you always dreamed of being the hero of the story?
Well, not this time.
This time, you're the one building the dungeon.
You dig, expand the rooms, put a few traps where they probably shouldn't be, hire monsters and fill the place with treasure.
Then you open the doors and wait for someone to have the brilliant idea of walking in.
The adventurers will come. Some fill their pockets, others fill the coffins.
Strangely enough, you need both.
Because killing everyone is easy.
The problem is that if no one gets out alive, after a while no one comes anymore.
No stories in the taverns, no new adventurers, no money.
If everyone gets out alive, though, you have the opposite problem.
You've probably built a hotel.
So you need to find a middle ground.
Someone has to make it home with the treasure and tell everyone how incredible your dungeon was.
Someone else might just leave the treasure there… along with the rest.
The more people talk about your dungeon, the more people will come. And the more people come, the more you can expand, hire better monsters, add new traps and raise the entrance fee a little.
Yes, because adventurers pay to get in.
No one ever said running a dungeon had to be a public service.
We're doing business here, a Dungeon to die for… literally.
Of course, you can also take things too far.
If too many people go in and too few come back out, sooner or later the Kingdom might start asking questions.
And when Fear gets high enough, those questions tend to arrive accompanied by armed people.
So try to become famous.
Just maybe not that kind of famous.
Fame & Fear: Dungeon Architect is a management game where you build and grow your dungeon while trying to balance Fame, Fear and, above all, a business that keeps running.
You're not here to save the Kingdom.
You're not here to destroy it either.
You just have to keep the place running!
Build It Your Way
Dig through the rock, create rooms and corridors, place doors, traps, treasure and decorations. Basically, take a hole in the mountain and turn it into something people are willing to pay for.
Run It Like a Business
Set the entrance fee and watch adventurers decide whether your dungeon is really worth their money.
Yes, they pay to get in... Hopefully not just once!
Give Them Something to Remember
Hire monsters, place traps and, when the usual hospitality isn't enough anymore, bring out the bosses.
Give some people memorable moments, and someone else their last moments!
Fame Is Good. Fear Is Too. More or Less.
Popularity, Fear, Wealth and Prestige change the way your dungeon is seen by the Kingdom. The more famous you become, the more important adventurers you'll attract.
But if you go too far with Fear, the Kingdom might decide to come and visit you in person.
From Rank F All the Way to SS
Start with little more than a hole dug into the rock and grow your dungeon until it becomes one of the most famous, richest and most questionable places in the Kingdom.
Build Once, Reuse as Much as You Want
You can turn entire rooms into Blueprints, save them, reuse them in other games and share them through the Steam Workshop.
Monsters, Traps, Treasure and Everything Else
New creatures, bosses, floors, walls, doors, lights, decorations and other elements to combine and give your dungeon an identity of its own.
