Faded Fears is a psychological horror game that tells a short, self-contained story in first person – told by the one who lived through it.
Faded Fears: Grayshore Motel
October 2009. Ryan Caldwell hasn't worked in over a year, and the rent is overdue. When he finds an ad for a night desk clerk at the Grayshore Motel in the local paper, he applies right away. That same evening the phone rings: he starts tonight. 10 PM to 6 AM, alone on a quiet stretch of Route 9.
The rule was simple: Stay at the front desk.
The Gameplay
A first-person, story-driven walking simulator with exploration, driving, conversations and real tasks at the motel's front desk.
This game features
- Atmospheric environments with realistic graphics.
- VHS aesthetic.
- A phone with text messages, calls and apps – just like 2009.
- Check in guests, print, sign and file their forms.
- Security cameras with night vision.
- Conversations with dialogue choices.
- Fully localized in 12 languages (interface and subtitles).
