Crater Song

Crater Song is a short, single-player co-op puzzle-adventure game built using the constraints of classic 8-bit games and set within the sci-fi fantasy world of Orebody. Players guide two twins, born of song, on a mythic journey to lift a curse that makes them the target of eldritch horrors from beyond the stars. In this unique retro-inspired game, players control two characters simultaneously using the left and right thumb sticks and the left and right triggers on their controller and guide them through a series of pseudo-3D obstacle courses and dozens of single-screen puzzle areas in a story-rich dark sci-fi fantasy. Players must use both twins at the same time to solve puzzles using only their wits and the power of song to progress in their quest.STORY On the planet Orebody, the nomadic tribe known as the Melodic communicates only in song. Every few generations, a baby is born to the tribe with cursed harmonics, a poisoned frequency that calls out to the mysterious extradimensional threat known as the Nox. This generation, the twins Arco and Menuett were born with the curse. Having attracted the Nox throng to their tribe’s doorstep, the twins are cast out. Even as they are hunted by eldritch horrors from beyond the stars, Arco and Menuett must journey to a faraway sacred crater with an ancient, pulsing meteorite at its center.
