UNDERNEATH

Underneath is a story about loss, desperation, and survival. Emma Warren, a mother, has lost her children due to the loss of her farm and is determined to get back to them, at any cost. Emma's story is one of many choices-- with both Emma's and her children's lives on the line, how far will you go to ensure that they are reunited? A shore-side city, Turnip City is situated upon a series of hills known as The Rolling Hills. It has, over the past few centuries, developed into a vast, bustling metropolis. It is known for its long, sunny beaches, tall, imposing skyscrapers, and, just beyond the city’s limits, sprawling crop fields and farmsteads. For the past few decades, life has been good for the people of Turnip City. However, the recent closure of The Rolling Hill Mines has resulted in an economic collapse that has left a large percentage of the population jobless and homeless. With nowhere else to lay their heads, those without work find themselves in The Subways; The ancient, massive tunnels once used in Turnip City's mining operations. Here, the laws of the surface are all but forgotten and crime is a daily occurrence. Those who wish to survive in The Subways must be quick and clever--or join in on the rampant looting. As Emma Warren, you are one of the unfortunate citizens who happened to be affected by the economic collapse. How do you plan on surviving in The Subways? Throughout the game, Emma will meet with several characters who will offer choices that will affect the course of the game. Your actions and choices will affect the Morality System, which determines how lawless(or altruistic!) Emma will be during her time in The Subways and how the game will draw to it's conclusion. To survive and continue your story in Underneath, you must ensure that you have enough money to feed yourself every night. However, money is never guaranteed, so you may find yourself having to make difficult sacrifices or choices to survive. How long can you survive for?
