About this game (Proof of concept. Not gameplay footage) Tales of the Trail is a challenging tactical roguelite RPG set in the rough ‘n tumble wild west. Find a balance in inventory and resource management, along with clever thinking while you undertake tactical, grid-based combat to set out west for glory. Take on the role of the Sheriff (Proof of concept. Not gameplay footage) Command a team of downtrodden cowpokes based on a myriad of classic wild west tropes. You start with only yourself and a couple down-on-their luck hired hands. Travel out west to recruit more unique classes to get your little burgeoning town back into shape. Explore the West (Not final gameplay footage) Send teams of heroes out west across harsh badlands, scorching deserts, snowy mountains, and more to trade with other towns, collect bounties, and deliver justice. On the trail, your wagon will encounter a variety of events that can either help or hinder them greatly, depending on your choices and how prepared you are.
