SPINDRIVE is a local multiplayer platform fighter with roguelike elements! Battle your friends in fast-paced split screen combat, and collect upgrade discs from across the map to be the last one standing! FOUR KILLING MACHINES AWAKEN IN A DARK LABORATORY... Play as the Seraphs, animalistic combat androids who slice through enemies with the plasma blades attached to their arms. These war robots boot up after a forgotten facility's power suddenly surges back to life. Kill the other Seraphs to shut down the map faster and escape the laboratory! DISCS AND DRIVES Upgrade discs and USB drives are littered in terminals around the randomly-generated map. They come in five different colors, corresponding to the five stats - Dexterity (SPD), Shield (DEF), Kickback (KBK), Blade (ATK), and Soar (VER). Discs increase your stats and give you access to unique abilities, while drives increase the odds of seeing a particular type of disc in the terminals. There are over 30 discs to collect! (Supposedly, filling out all your disc slots allows you to use another unique ability called a SPINDRIVE ability. Wonder what's up with that...) CARPE FUTURUM, NEW RECRUITS! During the course of standard play, you may come across terminals that look a little... off. Inspecting these will give you BLACK DISCS, which contain images and fully voice-acted audio logs recounting the laboratory's destruction. You can check the black discs you've collected in the Collection menu. These logs won't come in any set order, though — it's up to you to piece together what really happened... MODES OF PLAY In SPINDRIVE, you can choose to play cooperatively or competitively: - In PILLARS, race against the clock to break several energy pillars across the map! (1-4 Players) - In SURVIVAL, stay alive in the laboratory for as long as you can! Break energy pillars to keep the power on! (1-4 Players) - In COMBAT, be the last one standing among your friends in a PvP free-for-all! (2-4 Players) CUT OUT A PATH, SHOW THEM YOUR WRATH, AND FIND YOUR WAY! Miscellaneous Features: - Fully hand-animated sprites and tilesets (because C.T. has no clue how to use animation software). - More than an hour of voice-acting work in total! - A full soundtrack available on most music streaming platforms. - Compatibility with Steam Remote Play Together. - Configurable game settings for a custom play experience. - I can't really think of anything else, but trust me this game is fire This game was created almost entirely in a period of three months by the University of Georgia Game Builders Club.
