Build Your Machine Combine all kinds of parts on the 18cm-tall hobby robot “SIGNOS” to create a machine that is yours alone. Head, chest, arm and leg parts each have their own performance. Durability, weight, EN consumption, processing power, firing arc. A heavy build loaded with high-firepower weapons. A machine that leans on its shield to grind out a win. A machine that prioritizes mobility to control the distance to its opponent. The parts you choose change the way your machine fights. And then — what logic will you build into it? Combine machine design with tactical design and complete a SIGNOS that is entirely your own. Build Tactics with Thought Tiles Place Thought Tiles such as “Move,” “Search,” “Attack” and “Judgment,” then connect the nodes to build your behavior logic. For example: Search for the enemy ↓ Judge the distance to the enemy ↓ Choose whether to attack or move Piece by piece, you assemble behavior that responds to the situation. Start with simple logic, then add more conditional branches. “How do I want it to act in this situation?” One at a time, you turn the tactics in your head into logic. How Smart Can You Make It on Limited Memory? A SIGNOS head comes with a limited memory capacity. Build in more complex decisions and it can handle more situations. But cram in too much logic and it overloads, delaying execution. And that is exactly why: it is not only about what you build in — what you cut out matters just as much. Pick only the processes you need within a limited memory, trim away the waste, and distill your tactics into a single piece of logic. Building a strong machine alone will not win you the match. What kind of mind will you give it? That is what decides victory and defeat. Battles Are Fully Automatic Once your logic is finished, the battle begins at last. From there, all you do is watch. SIGNOS acts on its own, following the logic you built. It finds the enemy exactly as you intended. It moves to the range you were aiming for. It attacks at just the right moment. When the tactics you designed click into place, your machine seizes victory on its own. But things do not always go the way you planned. “Why didn’t it attack right there?” “Why did it close in at that range?” “Was this the condition I was missing?” Look at the battle results, revise your logic, and send it out again. Design → Battle → Analyze → Improve That cycle of trial and error is exactly what makes SIGNOS fun. Story Mode Take on a series of rivals together with Rei, the protagonist, and Hal, the mechanic. Story Mode runs for 6 chapters. The early chapters walk you through placing tiles right on screen, so the basics of Thought Tiles sink in as you play. From the middle chapters on, Hal gives you a hint and you build it yourself. The further you go, the less it is about adding tiles and the more it is about cutting them. With limited memory and limited Action Points, the match comes down to how short and fast you can make your logic. Whenever you get stuck, Hal steps in with advice. Along with the story, sharpen your own power to build logic. Fight Logickers from Around the World Once the story has taught you the basics, head into asynchronous Ranking Battles. Face off against the SIGNOS units players around the world have built. What tactics has your opponent’s AI been loaded with? Will your logic hold up against other players?
