You are a nineteen-year-old orphan raised by a monastery, destined to become a nun. But after your closest friend mysteriously disappears and the monastery is dissolved, your future is stolen away. A secluded Duke becomes infatuated with you at first sight and forces you into marriage. Then, on your wedding night... You discover a truth so horrifying that survival itself demands blood.
