Rule the Dark, defeat the Light Shadow Sovereign is a dark fantasy incremental where your legion of shadows does the fighting. Summon an army, shape its talents, and watch it carve through wave after wave of enemies in a moody pixel-art arena. It blends minion-based tower defense with incremental progression, topped with RPG systems and raid-style boss fights. Idle through the easy waves, or wade in and fight alongside your shadows when it counts. Waves march in to bring the Sovereign down. Your shadows stand between them and the throne. Clear the stage boss and the run is yours; let your health reach zero and it is over. Key Features - An army of shadows that fights for you - field up to 30 shadows at once, drawn from 29 unit types: six basic classes, three advanced ones, and twenty boss shadows you claim by defeating them. Watch them battle in real time. - Protect the Sovereign - Your army protects you, the Sovereign. He does not move, but manipulates the battlefield with his weapon attacks and ultimate, protects his shadows by pulling them out of danger, and resummons them when they fall. - Four acts, five stages each - Every stage has a boss, and every boss you defeat can be bound to your legion as a shadow of its former self. Collect all twenty to hold court. Beating all four acts unlocks the final stage. - Raid boss fights - Each boss fight has raid mechanics. Watch your legion (try) to overcome the mechanics that the boss introduces. Help them out with tactical play, or just focus on the DPS. Your choice! - Deep progression - A huge core talent tree (1600+ talents), masteries, four weapons that each have their own tree, and gear with rerolling and salvaging. Build something unique, and every run makes the next one stronger. - Level and promote - Spend your collected Shadow Energy to level up and promote the units in your Legion, unlocking powerful skill upgrades, auras and passive effects. - Every run is different - The talent tree's layout randomizes on every prestige and every new game. Your last build might not be within easy reach this time. - Prestige - Spend Echoes to reset your levels and stage progression for permanent power, faster XP and resources, and entirely new systems across the prestige board's five tiers. - Idle-friendly by design - After a while the game plays fine as an idler, but progression is much faster when you play it yourself. During a run you can hotswap between auto-play and self-play with one button, and speed up the easy waves to get back to the hard part.
