Over de game
Over Derelict Division, LLC
There’s a living in dead ships.
Somewhere inside that abandoned frigate is enough salvage to make the trip worthwhile. Getting it out means finding a way in, deciding what to cut, and keeping enough air for the journey back.
Derelict Division, LLC is an industrial space-salvage game designed for solo play and online crews of up to four. You work out of the Scrappy, a well-used frigate belonging to your salvage partnership. Pick a contract, climb into your own ship, and head out to recover whatever the last owners left behind.
A day’s work, a long way from help
Fly alongside the wreck, dock in its hangar, or look for an opening you can make yourself. Leave the cockpit and work through its rooms on foot and with suit thrusters, recovering equipment and cutting valuable material loose.
A sealed compartment deserves a little thought before you put a torch through it. Breach a pressurised hull and escaping air can carry your haul—and your crew—out into space. Keep track of your air, where you left your ship, and who’s still inside.
There are no enemy squads waiting around the corner. The work is dangerous enough.
Your crew. Your business.
Back aboard the Scrappy, turn in the job, collect your pay, and get ready for the next one. Spend earned credits on spare air, fuel and cutting charges at the quartermaster, and put experience toward your class upgrades.
Choose from Cutter, Engineer, Explorer, Pilot and Support, each with its own upgrade tree. Set your suit’s appearance, change your ship’s paint and insignia, and give it a callsign worth calling out when someone needs a lift.
Work alone or bring friends. There’s plenty to discuss when one person wants to leave and another has just found something valuable.
The trouble with secondhand ships
Planned story campaign — in development.
Keelstone changed shipbuilding. Frames could be grown in days, and recovered sections could be grafted into new vessels. Old ships became the raw material for new ones. For a small salvage outfit, that meant steady work.
Now some of those ships are failing.
What begins as an ordinary stripping contract draws your partnership into a trail of damaged structures, inspection records and salvage that someone wants handled very carefully. Petra Kolar keeps the contracts and finances moving; workshop chief Hob Lindgren knows what sound material ought to look like. Neither likes what the crew is bringing home.
The buyers have explanations. They also have credits to pay you.
The planned campaign follows the crew’s discoveries and the decision over who gets the evidence. Exposing what you find could protect the people living aboard these ships. It could also mean taking on the companies keeping your own business afloat.
You came here to take ships apart. Now you have to decide what to do with what’s inside.
