Over Canyon Torque
Canyon Torque is a road trip through a canyon overrun by the dead. Build your car, armor it, arm it and drive 50 km across ten regions — refuel, trade, hunt, cook and make camp along the way — and then survive the night. Need a break from the horde? Race circuit championships, the brand-new drag racing, or fire yourself out of the launcher.
The dead walk the canyon road in their hundreds, and you are going straight through them. Spiked bumpers, grinders, rams, a roof turret, a flamethrower: everything you bolt on is right there on your car, doing its job. Ragdolls fly, armor dents, and the heavier the machine, the further it plows.
Fifty kilometres of canyon across 10 regions with 10 towns along the way: Saguaro Desert, Copper Creek, Sand Arches, Red Gullies, Needle Woods, Lunar Valley, Mountain Pines, Rainforest, Snowy Pass and the Volcanic Lands. Hit ramps and mega ramps, light the nitro, and keep an eye on the fuel gauge. Reach the end and The Road Home takes you back with fireworks, hot-air balloons and a biplane squadron... and the trip starts all over again.
Live weather and a full day and night cycle: rain, snow, blizzards, thunderstorms and volcanic ash. And the road has a life of its own: rockslides, lava bombs, meteor showers, road trains and stunt biplanes.
Every vehicle keeps its own upgrades and its own progress. Paint and liveries, rims, tyres, body kits and accessories, then the real upgrades: engines, turbos, exhausts, armor, roof racks and bumpers. Every upgrade is visible on the car, and some change it completely: the Bastión unfolds into a six-wheeler.
Every town has a gas station, a market, an inn, a gun shop, a dealership, a race office and a notice board full of jobs: deliveries, passengers, hunts and bounties. Out on the road you will need to eat, drink and rest. Follow tracks into the hunting grounds and take the shot through the scope, then cook what you hunt at camp, with over twenty recipes to learn.
Pitch the tent, light the fire... and get ready. At night the horde comes for your camp. Hold them off with a pistol, an SMG or a rifle until dawn.
The new drag racing mode: four cars, one straight, no second chances. Nail the launch, shift at the perfect moment, tuck into the slipstream and save your one shot of nitro for the right moment.
