Wherever You Get Your Podcasts

On October 27th, 2023 the podcast Spooky Sacramento hosted a live episode and tour of the Sacramento area’s infamous haunted street, Dyer Lane. Hosts, Andi Sampson and Dan Lee, and their audience disappeared that night while touring the street. Dozens of calls were received by local authorities about missing people. At the scene authorities recovered a busted up hard drive and enlisted Spooky Sacramento’s podcast production company to recover and repair the audio files on the dying hard drive. Authorities are hopeful that the audio on the hard drive can help them locate the podcast hosts and their audience. - The found audio podcast Archive 81. - The collaborative writing project SCP Foundation. - And finally, the FMV game from Sam Barlow, Immortality. As a podcast editor/producer at Sylvan Corners Studios, your job is to scour the audio files to piece together what happened on the day of the disappearance. On the broken hard drive is a file folder filled with 40+ audio files. All the audio files are damaged and require your skills as a podcast editor to fix. To make them listenable again, you’ll need to adjust the volume, compression, filter out noise, or shift the pitch. However, since the hard drive is dying, you’ll only 20 minutes to recover as much of the audio as possible. Once audio is repaired, you’ll discover bits and pieces of what happened that night on Dyer Lane. And hopefully answer they question: Where did they go?
