VERteX-1: AINIA

VERteX-1: AINIA is a game that blends tower defense and first-person shooting with a retrofuturistic vector art style. Analyze the levels to create defense strategies, upgrade your gear, and shoot to stop the mysterious attackers from destroying the simulation that keeps humanity alive in a post-apocalyptic future. Enemies are coming from all directions! VERteX-1: AINIA is a fast-paced, high-intensity game where, to clear the levels, you must prevent the evil unknown agents from reaching the open breaches in the simulation and destroying the system before your netrunner partner finishes sealing them. To do this, you can use your energy weapon and shoot... but that won’t be enough! You’ll have to not only shoot but also summon turrets to destroy the enemies for you. Organize and manage, find the most efficient way to play each level, combine shooting with turret placement strategy, upgrade your gear, and save the simulation. And be careful not to stand still, because you’ll attract enemies… and they’ll come for you! To tell its story, VERteX-1: AINIA transforms into a visual novel between levels. The future of “humanity” is dark. Our species has retreated into hypersleep across various human centers around the world, simulating the 21st century and repeating it every 100 years until the world becomes habitable again. AINIA is the AI that manages and brings the simulations to life, but she can’t do everything alone. To certain humans known as “Replicants” and others known as “Sporicals” she grants the ability to see metareality when necessary, allowing them to see the simulation’s lines and giving them awareness of it as well. At a certain point in this world, the simulations begin to be destroyed by an unknown enemy, whom not even AINIA is able to unmask, to the point that the last living simulation, set in Santiago, Chile, becomes the last bastion of known humanity. To save it, AINIA decides to reawaken the former members of Team Metal, a group of soldiers who managed to end humanity’s last great war. In VERteX-1: AINIA, you can experience two game modes, both tied to the story. - Story Mode: Complete levels, experience dialogues and the game’s story, replay it, and try to discover the three different endings the game offers. - Arcade Mode: Integrated into Story Mode, you can access it via the map. A non-stop succession of intense levels, each harder than the last, experience an extreme and challenging test if you didn’t find Story Mode difficult enough.
