The lights of Eientei have all gone out. You are Reisen Udongein Inaba, the moon rabbit who fled to earth, and tonight the rounds are yours. The guests staying over and the residents of the house alike fall asleep in the dark. And one rule is left behind. Do not overlook the anomaly. If you find an anomaly, sleep with the lights left on. If you find nothing, put the lights out and sleep. Survive eight nights. ● Watch over them in the dark Every clue lies with the girls who have already fallen asleep. Through the gap in a sliding door. From the far side of the shoji. Holding your breath, quietly. Reimu and Marisa, sleeping shoulder to shoulder. Kaguya and Mokou, still awake, bickering under their breath. The two who lay out separate futons and are always rolled to the same side by morning. Nothing unusual. Just another ordinary night. Only someone who knows that "ordinary" can notice what is wrong tonight. ● The distance between them is the strategy Last night they slept back to back. Tonight they share one futon. The two who cannot meet without quarrelling are strangely quiet. Have they simply grown closer, or is tonight the night something is different? Every memory of how close they have become is a weapon for spotting the anomaly. The more you watch, the stronger you get. A kokeshi head takes flight. In Gensokyo, almost anything can happen at night, from things that turn a whole room upside down to things you can barely notice at all. Kaguya Houraisan / Fujiwara no Mokou: two who cannot die, and have been quarrelling for a thousand years. Eirin Yagokoro: the physician of Eientei. She knows something about these nights. Tewi Inaba: the mischievous earth rabbit. Tonight's anomaly may well be her doing. ● Features 99 anomalies, from the ruinous to the almost impossible to catch. Lights on, or sleep in the dark.
