SEE WHAT’S COMING Enemy attacks are shown before they happen. Check who’s in danger, move your crew, and decide which threats to deal with first. Most battles end at dawn, so keeping your ship afloat can matter more than finishing off every enemy. PUSH THEM INTO TROUBLE Shove an enemy into another unit, knock it overboard, or move it into the path of an attack. Each pirate has a different set of skills. A well-placed push can break up an attack or send enemies crashing into each other. BLOCK REINFORCEMENTS Enemies mark the tiles where they’re about to board. Put a pirate on one of those tiles to stop the arrival, as long as you can spare them from the threats already on deck. FACE THE STORM KING The Storm King attacks the deck with lightning and gusts that displace units. His attacks can hit enemies too. Watch the marked tiles and leave a foe in the way. CHOOSE YOUR ROUTE Between battles, choose a path through shops, rest stops, tougher fights, and special objectives. Pick up trinkets and consumables, upgrade your crew, and repair the ship when you can. Damage carries into the next battle.
