At the core of everything in Lumiere is Light and Shadow. Journey as Soleil and Umbra as they embark on a mission to unite a beautiful world lost to darkness. With drop-in co-op play, a second player can join the adventure and uncover the mysteries of the land together. Explore a Broken World Command light and shadow in core gameplay like no other game play experience before as Soleil and Umbra and traverse a strange world sundered by cataclysmic events in Lumiere, a unique third-person action game. Lumiere takes place in a world sundered by a cataclysmic event known as the Long Night of Fire, which brought flaming stones raining from the sky to wreak havoc across the land. Soleil, a girl born into a tribe of mages with the rare gift to create and manipulate light, ventures out to find the members of their family lost on a recent expedition and bring them safely home. As quickly as her journey begins, Soleil meets defeat, forcing her to form a tenuous bond with Umbra, a shapeshifting being of living shadow exiled by his brethren. Umbra has his own issues to resolve, but both he and Soleil quickly realize that they share a common goal: to restore peace to the land. At the Core of Everything is Light and Shadow The world of Lumiere is a dangerous one, requiring unique and savvy uses of Light and Shadow abilities to traverse safely. While you can simply battle with Soleil’s conjured weapons and Umbra’s shapeshifting attacks, using Soleil’s light generation abilities creates shadows which can be used by Umbra in creative (and sometimes devious) ways. Turn shadows into bridges to allow Soleil to cross chasms or create barriers to ward off enemies. Or make shadows hollow, turning them into bottomless pits for enemies to fall into. The choice of how to battle is yours, and Soleil and Umbra’s unique abilities create near-endless possibilities, both to defeat enemies and to explore the furthest reaches of Lumiere’s twisted landscape. Journey Together (Or Alone) Through a simple real-time toggle system you can switch back and forth between Soleil and Umbra to use their ever-expanding abilities and power to battle enemies, access hidden areas, and discover hidden treasures to help you on your way! And with drop-in co-op play, a second player can join the adventure, with each player controlling one of the characters to take on the world together.
