Island Off Outer Darkness follows the narrative of the Postman, a resident Postal Worker new to a small fishing village in Antarctic waters off the coast of a volcano (the titular Outer Darkness). They start new to the job, and must deliver packages to residents day-by-day, week-by-week. As they learn more about the island and its townsfolk, aberrations in space begin to appear. More broadly, Island Off Outer Darkness is an exploration of the grief of community collapse and personal withering.
