Goodly Trials is a turn-based strategy game with roguelike and auto-battler elements. Hire a peculiar company of knights, sell-swords, merchants, and wizards, arm them as you please, arrange the line, and trust in your leader to survive your journey home. Journey alone.. The single-player journey, starts by choosing your leader, from here the core game unfolds: Shop → Equip → Set Formation → Battle → Shop.. You need to survive for twelve weeks, and can unlock new leaders and gear by attempting harder trials. Defeat bosses to unlock Ranked modes, more units, and new factions like: the Bone Host, and the treasure-obsessed Below Born. Or with agreeable company In multiplayer, 2 to 8 players join a real-time (or async) tournament. Each player shops in public, and bids against the table for the same inventory. You arrange your strategy in peace, and meet each rival in a league. Bring friends, fill empty seats with AI armies, wager on featured matches, and remember who it was that increased the price paid for your squire. Climb the ranked ladder In ranked, your armies face companies built by ruthless AI, and eventually other players from the closed beta (and Early Access). A rating follows every journey and you are matched with opponents on a shared lader. Win and climb to earn rare rewards. Goodly Trials Gameplay - Goodly Trials is turn-based - No two bargains are quite alike: Units and gear bear innate attributes and rolled traits that change what they are good for. An otherwise ordinary hire may become the strange hinge upon which the whole company turns. - Tactical Auto-battler: The field and your company grow throughout the journey. Small skirmishes become full formations, where range, formation, flanking, adjacency, and the shape of the opposing line all matter.
