Eekscape: Everyone Panic!

You're the unwilling star of a twisted TV show where the audience craves chaos. Play solo or with friends, keep the ratings alive, survive bizarre monsters, and make your escape before the final act. Eekscape is a first-person action-horror game that can be played alone or in online co-op with up to four players. Enter a collection of deadly, procedurally assembled locations filled with monsters, traps, weapons, loot, and questionable financial decisions. Search for the keys, unlock the exit, and escape before the countdown reaches zero. All while a live audience watches (and judges) everything you do. - ONE SIMPLE OBJECTIVE. MANY WAYS TO SCREW IT UP Explore the location and search its rooms. Find weapons, medical supplies, money, and useful equipment. Fight, evade, or outsmart the creatures hunting you. Recover the [b]red, green, and blue keys[/b]. Bring all three keys to the final mechanism. Unlock the exit and survive the final escape countdown. Play solo and every decision rests on you. Play in co-op and divide the search, share information, rescue each other, or discover how quickly a coordinated plan can collapse after one badly thrown grenade. ENTERTAIN THE EEK-O-METER Your escape is being broadcast. Spend too long doing nothing and the audience becomes bored. Spectators react through an on-screen feed while the show’s presenter delivers announcements, warnings, and commentary through speakers inside the level. Audience approval is not merely cosmetic. Your performance affects the rewards earned at the end of a level. Put on a good show and escaping contestants can leave with a much larger payout. Bore the audience and all that careful looting may be worth considerably less. Survival matters. Surviving with good ratings pays better. SOLO OR CO-OP The complete gameplay loop is available whether you enter alone or with friends. More players can make exploration faster, but they also create more noise, more chaos, and far more opportunities for something to go catastrophically wrong. RUN-BASED PROGRESSION Eekscape is structured around replayable runs through its different locations. Money, equipment, health, and other resources gained during a run can be carried forward as you progress. Shops and special rooms provide opportunities to prepare for increasingly dangerous levels. Starting a new run resets its resources and challenges, giving every attempt a fresh layout and a new series of decisions. Personal records are saved locally, giving solo players scores to improve and co-op groups something new to argue about.
