Derples Vs Xenos

OVERVIEW: Lead a squad of Derples in a desperate fight for survival amongst abandoned colonial outposts. Build defences, explore dark un-powered rooms, scavenge for resources and fight brutal turn based battles in an alien-infested hellscape. GAMEPLAY: Your Squad: Derples Vs Xenos is fast-paced but turn-based. You control a squad of four Derples each with their own skills/strengths. SARGE: is in charge and can 'give' extra ACTION POINTS to nearby squad members. TECHIE: is the only Derple who can fix broken things. MEDIC: is the only Derp who can heal-up wounded squad members GUNNER: the most accurate at firing and most proficient at melee combat. Your objective: Various mission types mean different objectives. 'Escape' - find the escape pod and ready it for evacuation. 'DNA' - located a 'brute' alien, lure it into the analysis chamber and evac the base with its DNA sample. 'Purge' - plant a timed charge in the chamber where the aliens are entering the base. 'Cleanse' - clear the base of alien 'weeds' that are rapidly infesting it. 'Rescue' - find colonists that have been entombed in alien slime and escort them to your escape shuttle. 'Holdout' - stay alive until the turn countdown reaches zero! GAMEPLAY MECHANICS: Fix - find or make components needed to activate machinery in the outpost. Defend - build barricades, power up doors, find and deploy gun turrets to defend a safe perimeter. Resource Management - located material units to make much needed items, assign pickups and resources to the squad member who can make most efficient use of them. Explore - enter unpowered zones and power them up, find pickups, spot hazards, open loot crates. PROGRESSION: Twenty solo missions of various types, that become unlocked as your global score increases. Sometimes, you might need to replay a mission 'smarter' to buff your score up! New unlocked levels, reveal new weapons and buffs! FEATURES: Solo gameplay - a 20-mission campaign Co-op gameplay - play these missions with up to 3 friends each playing a different squad member. Cross-platform - Mac/PC players can play together seamlessly. Leaderboard - solo players can compete for the monthly top spot based on their accumulated score, while the members of a co-op team can compete for the top spot for best team score in a mission. Prizes will be awarded for the best players! Playtime - on average a co-op games takes 1/2 an hour. Solo time per mission... longer if you're the cautious type. Music/Ambience - context sensitive music responds to the tension level. 'HERO MOMENTS': - using the flamethrower to clear out aliens and weeds. Satisfying as &%$@! - dropping a dead squaddie into the DNA replicator to 'regrow' him. (mind the 'buzz saw') - racing for the shuttle as your turns count down! - setting up a sentry turret in the perfect spot to cover multiple angles of fire (then watch the ammo 'countdown'!) - rescuing Derple colonists and trying to keep those dumb idiots alive. PRIZES: We will maintain and update hourly a leaderboard for solo and multiplayer. At the beginning of every month the players who are on the top spot will earn a 'Winners Crown'. When a player has earned 5 Winners Crowns they can contact us through the Steam page to get their prize - and what is that prize?
