The primary objective in World of Stars is to conquer all stars on the map. Strategically manage your fleet, capture neutral and enemy stars, manage ship production, reinforce your defenses, and expand your territory to achieve victory.
Every map offers a different strategic challenge. Control key stars, establish reinforcement routes, surround enemy positions, and adapt your strategy to the movements of your opponents.
Basic Rules
Stars: The game board consists of various interconnected stars, each producing ships over time. Stars can be neutral, controlled by the player, or controlled by enemies.
Fleet Movement: Send fleets of ships from one star to another to reinforce friendly stars or attack enemy stars.
Fleet Size: When sending a fleet, choose how many ships to send.
Combat: When a fleet reaches an enemy star, combat begins. The attacking and defending ships fight, and if the attacking fleet defeats the defenders, the star is captured.
Production Rate: Each star produces ships over time. Higher-level stars can produce ships at a faster rate.
Production Modes: Stars can be developed into different production modes, allowing you to specialize them for different strategic purposes. Choose how each star contributes to your empire and adapt your production to the situation on the map.
Map Layout: Each level features a different map layout, with varying distances and connections between stars that affect your strategy.
Strategies for Victory
Early Expansion: Quickly capture nearby neutral stars to increase your ship production. Avoid expanding too far and leaving your stars undefended.
Balanced Fleet Distribution: Keep enough ships at your stars to defend them. Sending 100% of your ships may secure an important target, but it can leave the star you launched from vulnerable.
Choke Points and Key Stars: Identify and control strategically important stars or positions that can limit enemy movement or provide strong ship production.
Continuous Pressure: Keep pressure on your opponents. Attack when their forces are weak or spread across multiple positions, preventing them from safely consolidating their forces.
Resource Management: Use your ships efficiently. Overcommitting to an attack can leave your territory exposed, while undercommitting may fail to capture an important star.
Adaptation and Flexibility: React to your opponent's actions and be ready to switch between offense and defense as the situation changes.
Diversion Tactics: Send smaller fleets toward multiple targets to divide the enemy's attention and create openings for more important attacks.
Timing and Coordination: Time your attacks to reach multiple stars in quick succession. Coordinated attacks can overwhelm an opponent and make it harder for them to respond.
Reinforcement Lines: Establish reinforcement routes that allow ships to move quickly between your stars. This helps reinforce frontline positions when they come under attack.
Surround and Conquer: Isolate enemy stars by capturing the stars around them. Cutting off reinforcement routes can make isolated positions much easier to capture.
Master the map, manage your fleets, and adapt to your opponents. Every level presents a different strategic challenge, requiring you to balance expansion, defense, and aggression to conquer the stars.
