The Long Way Home is an atmospheric sci-fi stew that blends classic Point & Click and Visual Novel storytelling with a first-person (FPS) view and survival/RPG elements.
Are you ready to watch the universe through the visor of the miner’s helmet on your head?
You wake up on an abandoned ship; there’s no one else breathing here but you. Soon you realize something: the only beings you can talk to are the ship’s Artificial Intelligence, the galaxy’s odd robots, and aliens from every step of evolution.
But what about humans?
THE MYSTERY OF THE FUTURE
While trying to figure out what happened to humanity, you also have to get the ship back to Earth. Along the way, you’ll need to befriend humanoid robots, out-of-control AIs, and extremely weird aliens—trade with them, fight to survive, or solve problems through diplomacy.
A MINER’S SKILLS
Crossing the galaxy isn’t easy. On this journey, you’ll have to rely on your skills. Improve your engineering to bring scrap back to life, or use your cybersecurity talents to hack systems. Or focus purely on survival—cook and grow food, and prepare delicious meals for a first-class journey. Buy new parts to upgrade your gear and even your ship, or discover new blueprints and craft them yourself.
“WAR AND PEACE” IS A FILTHY STICK—DIRTY ON BOTH ENDS
There are many ways to get what you want. From turn-based ship battles to QTE-based melee fights; from choice-driven stealth actions to tricking minds through lies, misdirection, and manipulation. The choice is yours: will you be a hero, or will you destroy anyone who stands in your way?
