Paracity

Paracity is a character-driven, party-based heist RPG. Select your crew of thieves and lead them through a heist in a mansion full of treasures, secrets, and dangers. You are the master of a thieves’ guild… if you can get anyone to listen to you Your crew is made up of procedurally generated characters with rich personalities, skills, and personal desires. As you move through the mansion, command each crew member, using their skills to your advantage. Some will fall in line. Some will argue. Every disruption brings risk of discovery. Think quickly to salvage the mission as your best laid plans encounter complications. Management meets role-playing As the leader of the guild, your own disposition will determine how your crew responds to you. Managing the actions of four characters will keep you busy. Each character can exercise autonomy: if you leave a crew member to their own devices they may make their own decisions, leaving you to deal with the repercussions. Emergent story-telling Your relationships change constantly depending on how you treat the people around you. As you work together, you may find a loyal follower, a friendly rival, or a bitter mutineer. Befriend a guard, blackmail a clergyman, deceive your competitor; the choice is yours… and theirs. Each character’s reactions and choices are procedurally generated based on their unique attributes, so no two stories are alike. Collect fabulous riches and discover secrets. Forge relationships and overcome dissent. Watch your plans come together like clockwork, or fall apart.
