MADHOUSE is a retro horror action RPG with a chibi aesthetic -- a bloody re-imagining of an early 2000s indie cult classic. Blending gritty 90s punk horror with chaos, join Butch on a quest for revenge in search of his wife’s killer, exploring a dreary open world filled with monsters, maniacs, and other twisted characters. Slash or blast your way through enemies in intense, gore-soaked combat, buy guns, gear, and interact with NPCs the town of Grayville, and battle friends in a four-player local versus mode (playable online via Remote Play Together). With edgy themes and retro pixel art, MADHOUSE is perfect for players who crave macabre action RPGs with a punk edge.

MADHOUSE features frequent, stylized violence and gore in a retro pixel art style with chibi horror characters. With a passion for horror and retro games, he previously directed Night Manor and worked on several other games in UFO 50, a critically acclaimed indie collection by Mossmouth. MADHOUSE features an original soundtrack by esteemed chiptunesmith PaleDeth, known for creating tracker music in the demo scene since the 90s.
