Kintsugi Moon

A small rabbit awakens in the terraced rice fields of ancient Japan, with no memory of who they are or how they got there. Mount Fuji rises far in the distance, its peak wrapped in moonlight — a destination the rabbit doesn't yet understand, but somehow already longs for. Guided by patches of moonlight and drawn toward shrines scattered across the land, the rabbit begins the ascent — through farming villages lit by lantern-light, misty riverside shrines, ancient cedar forests, and a single stretch of darkness deep inside the mountain where no moonlight reaches at all. Along the way, broken pottery shards hold fragments of memory, waiting to be pieced back together. Moonlight is more than light. Outside of it, the rabbit is just a rabbit — a gentle creature bounding through a beautiful world. But standing in moonlight unlocks abilities that open new paths: a second jump, a burst of speed, the strength to leap from stone to stone. As you climb higher, moonlight itself grows harder to catch — patches that once sat still begin to move, testing your timing as much as your memory. Not every part of the mountain is lit. Deep inside an ancient cave, moonlight cannot follow. With every ability stripped away, the rabbit must move quietly through darkness and past a threat best avoided rather than faced.
