Danelawについて
Start with nothing. Become someone.
Northumbria, in the time of the Great Heathen Army. You come ashore at the Tyne as the least of a Danish war-band. Through raids and battles, oaths and betrayals, marriages and feuds, you rise to rule the north. The saga is yours to make.Fight like it matters
- Directional sword, axe, spear and shield combat on stamina: cut high or low, parry and riposte, break a guard, step aside.
- Stand in the shield wall in battles of hundreds, charge on horseback, loose arrows from the saddle.
- Every weapon handles as it should. A spear sweeps legs from under a shield; a Dane axe batters guards and rocks men back.
Foes who remember you
Seven war-bands roam the land, each with its lord, its war-leaders and its champions. They hold moots, raid, rise in rank and remember what you did to them. Spare a man, shame him, ransom him or take his oath. A foe left for dead may come back scarred and under a new name, and his kin will ask for wergild.A living, reactive north
- Ride from Eoferwic to the Roman Wall through towns, steadings, moors and dales. Walk straight into any hall or house with no loading screen.
- Seasons, weather and sky follow the real year of 866 AD: harvest, midsummer bonfires, winter snow, the northern lights.
- Townsfolk live their days, react to your name and call the watch on a thief.
- Feasts in other lords' halls may turn: barred doors, fire arrows and knives drawn from boots.
Tell your own tale
A story campaign across four acts, then open play: rule your holds, judge disputes, take tribute, marry and raise heirs. Quests take you on treasure hunts and heroic deeds. Your companions remember the fallen.Better with friends
