You Have Been Slain: An Idle Tragedy hakkında
Three classes. One hero. Another terrible idea.
You Have Been Slain: An Idle Tragedy is an idle RPG built around the things that kept your old MMO group up far too late: grinding out that XP, trying a new build, farming those rare drops and trying to min-max pulling whole zones!
Combine three classes into one hero. Choose your spells, tune your combat automation, and uncover the best loot that brings your build together. Adventure solo or group with Steam friends. Your hero can handle the fighting, but the decisions are yours.
16 classes. 560 combinations!
Pick three of 16 classes and level them to 50. Keep developing your favorites or level them all! Find synergies that exploit mechanics, and experiment with combinations that suits the way you want to fight.
Build around healing, spell damage, weapons, pets, or an idea that sounds cool on paper but totally doesn't work in reality. A Troll Sorcerer / Monk / Ranger is certainly a decision.... Not one I'd personally recommend, but who knows - maybe you can make it work!
Decide how your hero fights
Automatic combat is part of your build. Configure autocast conditions, prepare your spellbar, and adjust your loadout. Balance damage, healing, crowd control, and survival instead of assuming your biggest damage number solves every problem (or not).
If an encounter is too tough, change tactics or your build or something, unless you're a fan of smashing your face against a wall.
Give every loot run a purpose
Target farm those rare drops to level up key pieces of gear. Uncover new loot that makes you rethink your entire equipped loadout then start the grind again!
Set loot-handling rules, including automatic merging, to keep the grind moving. Pet builds have equipment decisions too: gear up your companion alongside your hero.
Keep growing through Alternate Advancement
Class levels are only part of your character's progression. Earn Alternate Advancement points and invest in further improvements, including class-specific benefits for damage, healing, defense, and companions.
There is room to keep refining a favorite build long after you have decided which three classes belong in it.
Get the old group back together
Form an online party of up to three other Steam friends and fight together. Carry your friends through dungeons (since your build is probably better than theirs) and flex on the damage meters as you destroy swaths of enemies. Good luck sorting through all of the loot.
Play solo when you want your own pace. Group up when the crew is around. Online co-op requires an internet connection.
Secure a camp. Come back to progress.
Keep your hero fighting while the game runs in the background, or secure a farming camp before logging off to earn offline rewards. Return to experience, gold, and a pile of loot based on the farming your build has demonstrated it can handle.
Offline progress is capped and earns at a reduced rate, so checking in and improving your setup still matters. You can enjoy the loot chase without keeping the game open all day.
Make yourself at home
Move, resize, and scale your HUD windows to put the information you care about where you want it.
It is a love letter to the MMOs that asked for your whole evening, with room to fit the adventure into the life you have now.
