The King of Aldrain has been slain, and his crown shattered into five pieces by the traitorous lords who seized the realm. Years later, you return at the head of the New Order of Light. Hunt down the five betrayers, reclaim the fragments of your father's crown, and restore the kingdom to its rightful ruler.
The Pale Banner is a chess-like, turn-based tactics game where the world grows alongside your crusade. Lead the Order of Light and forge alliances with powerful factions such as the Dwarves and Elves as you battle to reclaim the kingdom of Aldrain from the traitors who plunged it into chaos.
Fight tactical battles across three board sizes and a wide variety of handcrafted battlefield layouts. Every encounter demands careful positioning, clever strategy, and difficult decisions. Earn gold after each victory to recruit new warriors and strengthen your army... but choose wisely. When a soldier falls in battle, they are lost forever.
Follow the story of the King-Seeker, Gustave, as he searches for the shattered pieces of his father's crown and liberates the lands of Aldrain from the tyranny of its usurpers. Confront Orcs, the Undead, the Order of Blood, Dark Elves, and many other formidable enemies on your quest to restore the kingdom.
Battles take place as follows:
- Place your available units
- Select the turn order for the match on a card draw
- Take turns trying to survive, wipe the enemy forces, or take down their captain
Campaign across the vast world of Aldrain, unlocking battles and watching the story unfold with every new region. Each area brings new challenges and opposing factions determined to stop you from reclaiming your throne.
