Über The Mighty Wizard's Tale
Retro grid-based party-based dungeon crawler with optional roguelite gameplay.
- Can be played in party mode, or as a single more powerful character.
- Different classes with preset abilities, and different rates at which they can learn new abilities.
- Choice of single infinite dungeon, or a larger (procedurally generated) world per game.
- Turn-based combat to fight against large groups of monsters, similar to the Bard's Tale.
- Abilities scale with the player and remain relevant throughout the game. Abilities gain a fraction of an extra "attack" or "hit" per level, similar to how in these retro games, "warriors get an extra attack every 4 levels" means warriors effectively gain 0.25 attacks per level.
- Items with stats and extra effects and resources that can be used to upgrade items, and stat bonuses affect each hit of an ability on each target, but stat bonuses scale slower than the actual stat values themselves.
- Story quest to defeat an ancient evil, along with smaller quests.
- Upgrade points for the party, each member, and skill points to learn new abilities.
- Optional permadeath mode that gives new parties and members upgrade/skill points based on the max level party members over all previous runs.
- Puzzles, riddles and quest items to unlock some later areas.
- Time passes and monsters get stronger every day.
- Different objects/encounters in the world: traps, junk piles, chests, spinners, anti-magic, traps.
