You are John. Your first job after graduation: working at a run-down logistics office in Seattle, maintaining a legacy inventory database.
The office is a maze of plain beige cubicles under fluorescent lights that never stop humming. There is no welcome party, no HR checking in on you, and your predecessor allegedly "left" just yesterday.
A yellow sticky note rests on the monitor bezel, while green command-line text flickers on screen. Some commands must never be executed, and certain commits must never be merged.
