Über Compression Quota
Compression Quota is an active incremental game about a hydraulic press. Items come down the line, you put them in the press, and the press turns them into scrap cubes. Management grades the cubes. Nobody has told you why.
THE PRESS IS THE JOB
Grab items off the assembly line and drop them on the plate. Hold to build compression, release to slam. Denser items take longer and pay more, and everything that goes in comes out as a spray of scrap cubes. The color tells you what you made before the number does.
THE BELT DOES NOT WAIT
Items keep coming. Anything that reaches the end of the line goes into the incinerator, and the fine comes out of your pay. Grab several at once, decide what's worth pressing and what's worth letting burn, and keep the plate moving. Standing around is a write-up.
SCRAP BUYS UPGRADES
Spend scrap on a branching upgrade tree. Faster press, heavier slams, more hands, a slower belt, payouts that trigger on events you'll learn to fish for. Six tiers of scrap, from common gray to the stuff you'll only see when the press really earns it. Common scrap buys capacity. Rare scrap buys capability.
MANAGEMENT IS WATCHING
Work is organized in shifts. Every shift ends with a report, every week ends with a quota, and every missed quota ends with a write-up. Stack enough write-ups and you'll find out what the press is actually for. Memos arrive on company letterhead. Posters on the wall encourage you to compress harder.
